The
The St. Paul’s Saturday Night Club (SNC) is a social club welcoming all adults who want, not only to socialize, but to contribute to the St. Paul’s United Church local outreach ministry activities. SNC activities and functions are characterized as great times with great food! . Currently there are about 45 active members who meet about ten (10) times throughout the year. SNC raises funds through various projects to support local needs such as the benevolent fund (assists transients who need food, etc.), needy families at Christmastime (groceries and gifts to each family member), financial support to local organizations, and on occasion to disaster relief (victims of floods, etc.) SNC also carries out other projects in the church such as a Pancake Supper on Shrove Tuesday, a Theme Dinner in May (proceeds from which go directly to the Trustees for use on operating or capital expenses) and the decorating of the church for the Christmas season. Other SNC events include spring and fall barbeques (at one of the club member’s camps), a Halloween party and a Valentine’s party. We encourage all those who wish to join the SNC to contact the church office or Eileen and Ken Brown for more information. |
