To glorify God through worship, to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and to serve others in Christ’s name.
This brief statement is born out of a history of serving the community as well as faith statements accepted by the wider United Church of Canada.
We are a people who understand God as Trinity: three persons – God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit – distinct from one another and yet each fully God in their essence.
We are a resurrection people. We celebrate the life and teachings of Christ, and we accept the love, forgiveness, and grace born out of his death and triumphant resurrection. We are a people born of a miracle, and so we live daily in hope.
We are a community-minded people. At our core is a strong sense of community and family. We celebrate one another as often as we are able, and we love to share food together. We do what we can for those in need by having a Wednesday Pantry to provide food and other necessities to young families. We also have a brown bag programto ensure that those who miss or can’t afford a meal, don’t miss it.
As a congregation of the United Church of Canada we believe in a greater unity of all people. We seek loving relationships, and invite all people, wherever they might be on their faith journey, to join with us.
