Today marks the second Sunday of our 10 weeks of worshiping with our brothers and sisters of Wilmot United. For the first 5 weeks (June 28th – July 26th) we will be worshiping with them at 473 King St, Wilmot United Church. During the second half of our sharing (August 2nd – 30th) we will be worshiping at 224 York St, St. Paul’s United Church.

The service time for these shared worship experiences will be at 10:30 a.m..

For the duration of this joint effort, the leadership of worship will fall on the shared shoulders of Rev. Ellen Beairsto, Rev. Rose-Hannah Gaskin, and myself, Rev. Richard Bowley. Though who delivers the message on a given Sunday rotates among the three of us, for the most part we will all be playing a part in worship leadership.

This summer is a wonderful opportunity to exemplify the unity that is the foundation of The United Church of Canada. So even if you’ve never been to Wilmot (or St. Paul’s for that matter) now is a perfect time to experience who we are together. All are welcome and encouraged to attend. If you have small children, know that Wilmot is providing child care during worship as an option for you.

I am genuinely excited to see what fruit can come of our work together as we come to realize that we are one people.

Come, let us worship together!

Peace,
Rev. Richard Bowley
