Mindfulness Walk

With Spring upon us, now is a great time to get out into Creation and experience new life breaking forth with a mindfulness walk.  So often we are busy running from one place and appointment to another however, God invites us to slow down so that we may see God’s good works.  When we participate in a mindfulness walk we are intentionally seeking to stay present to the sounds and sights around us, to the feelings and sensations in our bodies, and stay focused in the moment.  These grounding walks can happen anywhere and at any time.  You can start out with a quick prayer such as “Holy God, help me to be present in this moment that I may experience the joy of this moment, the beauty of Creation, and the presence of your Holy Spirit.  Amen”   Once you are done with your walk, you can give thanks for all that you have seen and experienced too.

Light Up the Season with a Memorial Candle

Love never dies! Scripture tells us this, you have an opportunity to make this reality a visual experience on December 18th during our Advent 4 – Love Sunday. How? For $5.00 Candle we will place a candle in the sanctuary with your loved one’s name attached to it, during the service (and during the longest night service and Christmas Eve) these candles will be light. You can then take the candle home with you after the Christmas Eve service, so you have it at home to light during the rest of the Christmas Season, as a reminder of the love that lives on.
